Our beginner’s courses are the best way to see if Muay Thai kickboxing is the sport for you. Our expert coaches will work with you on basic skills and exercises.
You will work in a small group of other beginners for the first 4 weeks, on the fifth week you will be invited to train with the general women's Muay Thai Kickboxing class. You will see how much you have advanced and get to meet the other members of our club and decide if you wish to keep training after the initial course.
This course is for people 16 years and over.

NOTE: This is NOT a fitness class. This is Muay Thai Training; you will be taught skills used in the sport of Muay Thai Boxing.
We welcome you to come and look at one of our Muay Thai classes before joining to ensure you are happy prior to making any payment, you can even pick up your gloves once you have completed your enrollment.
Upon completion of the course you can train up to 6 times a week. Women's only classes run on Monday 6pm and Thursday 6pm. We also have mixed female and male classes on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday. We suggest that most people train twice a week. This gives the best results in memory retention, skill development and fitness gains without consuming to much of your valuable time.

Classes at SMAC are a great release from the stress of work and daily life. They give you time to recommit to your self and your development.
Our instructor’s expectations are high and our students rise to meet them. The limitation's you think you have.... don't exist.
*In Muay Thai we wear coloured patches to denote our level of achievement. We all start as white patch, the first level we are assessed for is Yellow. To receive a yellow patch you must show the skills you will have learnt, such as moving in a balanced fashion, the first basic punches and defences and working on pads. You will also need to demonstrate physical strength in our basic exercise program. On average it takes around 7 sessions to prepare for your first patch.
